Other Details to Note

A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended for inclement or winter weather. You will be driving on two lane, winding mountain roads to get into Basye and Raccoon Rd. Please note that this unique treehouse setting has a steep grade and sits ~ 20 feet off the ground. The gravel driveway is a hard left turn into it. We recommend you drive pass the house, turn around in the cul de sac for a straight shot into the driveway. The third bedroom is a loft with 2 twin beds accessed by a ladder.

We loved the charming tree house! My kids said it was the best part of our getaway! It was the perfect size for parents plus four kids aged preschool to teen. Karen was great with communication! Really appreciated! Note, you are not allowed to grill on the property, even with your own grill.

The Redround Treehouse was amazing and just what we were promised & wanted — original, private, peaceful. It was quirky and fun and an adventure for our kiddo. The neighborhood was quiet and (super!) close to Bryce Resort and Lake Laura. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area and we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

A gorgeous and fun place for a family getaway. It was clean, got a great collection of coffee and tea, comfortable, and about half an hour from many good restaurants and fun activities.

A unique find that we had to check out! The kids loved staying in the loft of the treehouse! From lake towels to hair turbans...coffee/tea station to pancake mix...lots of thoughtful touches make Karen's place feel like home. Very clean! We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening in the treetops! Suggestions galore for places for visit in the binder. We spent a full day at Luray RV Campground and Resort and another full day at Luray Caverns. Both were about a 40 min drive from the property, but we knew that and didn't mind the scenic drives The comfort, cleanliness and uniqueness of the property were worth a little extra driving. Karen was prompt to reply to any questions we had during our stay! Thank you for sharing your red round treehouse!

If you’re looking for a cozy, adventure in the mountains at Basye, this is the place to stay!!! Karen is extremely responsive, helpful, and very friendly. So the booking process is a breeze! Once you arrive to the home, the treehouse is clean, cozy, and fun. We were even greeted by 3 deer just slightly down the mountain. The coffee bar was such a nice touch, and my husband loved the bear coasters. The deck was beautiful and the bedrooms were perfect. We would definitely stay here again, if ever traveling to Basye!

We loved this treehouse! It was great for my family of five (teens and adults). It was a great, central location for our active group. We spent our days enjoying lake Laura and playing fling golf. Coming “home” exhausted was comfortable and roomy enough for everyone to relax. Our favorite part of the morning was coffee on the surrounding deck listening to the birds. Karen was an amazing and thoughtful host. She even left me a birthday card and birthday napkins for our little getaway celebration.
